Series 2 - 3oz Ingot

This ingot was sourced from Engelhard by the First National Bank of Washington as a gift of customer appreciation. In addition to the bank customer name being counterstamped on the top leading edge and reverse of the ingot, this promotional piece also included a gift box and literature:

"This silver bar is produced by a member of the Johnson Matthey group of companies, located in Canada, Great Britain, Australia and Italy. Their stamps are guarantees of fineness recognized throughout the world. The number stamped on the bar is the quality and definition of fine silver is .999+."

"Precious metals have been sought throughout the recorded history of man. History is filled with incidents in which man has gone to great lengths to recover precious metals from the earth. These items form a significant part of the treasure collected and passed from generations to generations. The First National Bank of Washington is pleased to offer this memento to its valuable customers."

Interesting is to note the literature's reference to the Johnson Matthey group, suggesting the bank sourced promotional pieces from different refiners.
