ALL ENGELHARD is pleased to welcome visitors to our Dugan & Helterbrand Company, Inc. Definitive Page. While our focus is clearly Engelhard, we recognize that many Engelhard bullion collectors also collect other bars and ingots. As such, we appreciate the opportunity to present additional collections and look forward to your thoughts and input!
Dugan & Helterbrand Company, Inc. formed in August of 1980 in Marshfield, Missouri and dissolved in April of 1991. D&H was predominantly a recycling company that fabricated their own silver ingots with a unique ‘scale’ hallmark similar to David C. Davis, as demonstrated below. Company founders Joe Helterbrand and Whitfield Dugan were related by marriage, Dugan was Helterbrand’s father-in-law. The company had its share of legal issues relating to clients entrusting the company’s storage and consignment services only to find that the physical silver was either gone or pledged. Times haven’t changed! The good news is that D&H produced some very nice, unique, and now quite rare silver ingots that have taken on a growing collector audience as of late. Our appreciation goes out to our friend RM for his diligent research and gracious contributions to this page!
