These extruded examples are among the most rare variety of Engelhard pieces. They were produced for a short period run for industrial, technological and medical end-use consumption. As such, few remain available to collectors today.
This particular bar is known as 'The Icon' and was the first recognized extruded 1oz bar known to exist. It was sourced from an advanced collector and became part of the All Engelhard collection in 2012. We believe this extruded class of Engelhard bar was produced in the late 1960's.
